Welcome to Boldmere Water Polo Club
We are an active water polo club in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham supporting players of all ages and abilities.
The enthusiasm the coaches and organisers of our club have for the game of water polo, and their commitment to providing players at all levels with opportunities to experience it, has led to a growing water polo community in Sutton Coldfield.
The training is fun, but the real thrill comes from playing the game. The Youth and Senior Teams compete in the Midlands League, travelling around the Midlands from Oxford to Cheltenham and Derby for water polo matches. There is a chance for players of a certain age to train at Regional Training Centres, if selected, which is the start of the path to playing for England and then GB.
We even have tournaments for the younger players!
Boldmere Swimming Club was formed in the 19th century by a group who swam regularly in the pools of Sutton Park that sits on the north eastern edge of greater Birmingham. Its name comes from the nearby village of Boldmere which today is one of several residential areas that make up the historic Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield.
Boldmere Water Polo Club follows the league rules of Swim England whose website has a lot of great information about water polo. Click here to find out more
